LAGUNA BEACH
Coronado Beach High Resolution Aerial Panorama
This is an unfinished panorama of Coronado Beach. A 500 Megapixel monster, this picture is going to look amazing in a hotel's lobby. Since it is a super high resolution picture it can be printed enormous.. This unfinished view really puts into perspective the amount of potographs taken to create one picture. There are more than 50 individual pictures taken for what will be one seamless panorama.

It's been my aspiration to make an aerial panorama of Coronado ever since the first moment that I displayed one of my giant photos and a person said to me "do you have one of Coronado?". And ever since up to the day people ask me that question. Now when they ask I can gladly say "Yes I do have a picture of Coronado and here it is...". At the time I hadn't realized the popularity of the Hotel Del which is in fact a national landmark. I've come to realize now the importance of this picture in my collection of San Diego aerial panoramas. It is a prime destination for celebrities, diplomats and even presidents. It is said that L. Frank Baum, author of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, did much of his writing at the hotel, and is said to have based his designs for the Emerald City on the hotel. This is just to site one example but there is a long list of famous guests, movies filmed here and stories inspired by this hotel. Google searches for "Hotel Del" are almost 2 million per month. Needless to say that if I am to create a portfolio of San Diego a picture of coronado is a must as one one of the top rated beaches resorts in the entire world. If San diego is about one thing it would be all about the beaches.

Coronado, also known as Coronado Island, is an affluent city located in San Diego County, California, 5.2 miles from downtown San Diego. Its population was 24,100 at the 2000 census. U.S. News and World Report lists Coronado as one of the most expensive places to reside in the United States. Coronado lies on a peninsula connected to the mainland by a 10-mile isthmus called the Silver Strand (locally, The Strand.) Locals sometimes call Coronado The Island or Coronado Island, and they denote the core living and business area as The Village. (source: Wikipedia)

In the distance we can see a very clear view of Downtown San Diego when viewed at full resolution.
